Plastic Machining of a Blower for the Chemical Industry

A customer in the chemical industry needed a blower to handle corrosive chemical fumes. ARC Plasmet Corp. has the technical expertise and experience to manufacture this type of plastic blower. The project required the use of both our Fadal CNC milling machine and CNC lathe to manufacture to the customer's specifications. Fabrication of this project also required the use of precision saw cutting and welding, as well as assembly of the completed piece. The blower was composed of .5" thick natural polypropylene and features dimensions of 2' in length, 1' in width, 5' in height, and was constructed to tolerances of ±.005". This type of blower is manufactured with a typical lead time of 2 weeks. Both visual and dimensional inspections were completed to verify dimensional accuracy and overall quality . This project represents our standard and most commonly utilized CNC machining capabilities at ARC Plasmet.
